Image: A slow-moving wolf with a dark grey back and light grey underbelly. Heart-of-Winter is well fed, but not fat. He has long jaws and longer-than-normal teeth, with a face that never betrays his emotions. In his rarely assumed homid form, he stands 5’9", thickly muscled with short, straight, dark black hair. He has a vaguely Amerindian appearance, with no beard and only trace body hair, appearing in his late thirties.
Heart-of-Winter was born into a wolf pack near the caern. He has spent his entire life in the Bloody Woods and Mount Gibb with only a few minor excursions into territories beyond. He was discovered and given the Rite of Passage younger than most, proving himself a cunning and resourceful wolf who lived without fear. Quiet even by lupus standards, this is only enhanced by his image as a leader. By the time he reached adulthood, Storm-Chaser, the old Alpha, was getting old. He proved no match for Heart-of-Winter, and thus lost his position as Alpha. Leading since adulthood, the Galliard has proven his abilities as a cautious and wise leader. He respects Storm-Chaser and knows he still has to learn much from the old Garou, even if he doesn’t like him.
He welcomed the Wolves of Montauk to his Sept after opening it to other tribes. When asked why he chose to do so, he simply responded that “It was time.” – The Weeping Daughter II
