Blood and Silver
Creature Type: Garou
Image: Despite appearing like he’s in late 50s, Montgomery is a handsome man in fine health, with deeply tanned skin and a well-kept head of silvery hair. He favors expensive suits of an English cut and looks very much like an archetypal British aristocrat. That silver bathes every inch of him in his furred forms, which appear lean and deeply muscled.
Montgomery Abercorn has served the Silver Fangs and the Garou Nation in general for all his life. Though he appears to have been born and raised in England, he actually hails from one of the “Noble Houses” of Hong Kong. Schooled in the English tradition in a very private establishment on Victoria hill, he lived a very sheltered life. The youngest of three brothers, it was never expected he would become the “tai pan” of the house. Even so, he proved stronger and smarter than the others by far, never realizing his true Kinfolk nature, much less the fact that his entire family was waiting with baited breath for the Change spirits had foretold in him.
That change never came in Hong Kong. Nor did it come in Canada, when he moved to Vancouver in hopes of escaping the misunderstood pressure leveled upon him by every Garou member of his family. He did well for his house there, predicting that Hong Kong’s fortunes would decline and that branching out was the only way to maintain his family’s power. His success began drawing more of his house to Canadian shores, and with it came all that returned pressure to become something he clearly was not.
It wasn’t until his mid-life crisis that he finally grew into his birthright. Abandoning worldly goods and responsibilities, he sought enlightenment with the Gurus of the 70s. It was then he met Father, who proved able to bring out a remarkably peaceable Change in the older man. Since then, Abercorn has been deeply devoted to the cause, much to the dismay of the Silver Fangs.
