Mother Larissa

Creature Type: Garou
Affiliation: Sept of the Green
Location: Central Park, New York
Breed: Homid
Tribe: Bone Gnawers
Auspice: Theurge
Rank: Athro (4)
Known Abilities: The standard strengths and regenerative qualities of a Changing Breed, in addition to her leadership and influence over the Sept of the Green.

Image: A small, skinny bag lady usually found pushing her battered shopping cart. She usually wears ill-fitting polyester clothing, orthopedic shoes and tacky accessories. As a lupus, she’s a small, sleek wolf with a tousled coat of brown fur. In all shapes she appears old and world-worn, but the pack has seen her glow with youthful strength when she needs to.

Personality: Extremely late to her First Change, Larissa’s secret to success is in part due to the fact that she was already old enough to expect everyone younger owes her respect before she even joined the Garou nation. She stares intently at anyone speaking to her, which often leads them to think she’s picked out some flaw. Of course, it’s worse when she gives you that knowing smile, because that’s when she’s decided she’s right about something. (She usually assumes as much anyway.) No one of any lower or equal rank is above having their ear tugged or their ass chewed out if they’re in the wrong, from Get of Fenris to Silver Fang. Mother knows best.

Living over a century gives one perspective. Though she changed late, she’s the last surviving pupil of the Bone Gnawers who had originally taken custody of the Sept after the Silver Fangs left. Garou in the area speak of her with respect despite her being a Gnawer, which sometimes seems to surprise even the speaker. She’s had to fight tooth and nail just to survive this long, and now she’s fighting for the largest and possibly the most influential Sept in all of New York and the surviving states. She’ll do what she must to see to it the ‘kids’ come out all right in the end.

The pack first met Mother Larissa during the very beginning of their Rite of Passage, when she oversaw their kidnapping and well-being until being harried through Central Park and through their Moonbridge. – Rite of Passage I

The Mother was there when the pack achieved their second rank of Fostern, approaching Artorias after the moot to reveal some information regarding his family from long ago.

Larissa also assisted with Tommy Knockraha’s preparations for his second crack at a Rite of Passage during Superbowl Sunday of 1983.
