Shadowpad

Creature Type: Garou
Affiliation: Gaian
Location: Sept of the Green, New York
Breed: Homid
Tribe: Children of Gaia
Auspice: Philodox
Rank: Cliath (1)
Known Abilities: The standard strengths, Gifts and regenerative qualities of a Changing Breed, though she is young and relatively non-combative.

Image: Once vivacious and enthusiastic, now angry and guilty. 5’8", slender build, African/Native American bloodline with shoulder length curly hair and large, expressive eyes. As a wolf, she has a fine pelt of black hair with brown streaks, nearly passing as an Elkhound in bad lighting.

Background: As a girl growing up in a commune in upstate New York, Tara was always fascinated by the city . Tara’s
extended family were largely Kinfolk, friendly with the Sept of the Hand of Gaia.

As an adult, Tara joined two Garou friends, Whitemane and Sheckley, in an effort to infiltrate New York’s corporate sector to change what they could and pass on warning for what they could not. As a member of the Darkrunner pack, Shadowpad worked her way into Amhurst as a data processor. She met with Harold Masters, and immediately realized his Garou heritage.

She accessed his background and pitied the corporate raider. Knowing of the Foundation and its work, she not only contacted Gretchen Valkenburg, but led the old Questing Pack to Masters personally.

Weeks later, a group of armed men attacked Whitemane’s haven and mowed down Whitemane with silver bullets. Shadowpad fled. Consumed with guilt, she decided that Masters must die by her hand. She does her best not to show how deeply the death of her pack (and the hatred of the deceased Hacktalon) has wounded her, but her true agenda was made clear when she assaulted and tried to kill Masters even before the pack was ready.

After recuperating in the pack’s territory, she began a campaign against Valkenburg, attempting to rile the Sept of the Green into action against the foundation. The pack reasoned with her to stop, but she remains in the territory, bearing a grudge. A grudge she was willing to set aside at least long enough to take part in Jack “Shepherd”’s Rite of Reunciation in January of 1983.
