- Taking the long trip upstate, the pack met with a pack of Ratkin calling themselves the Rat Race acquainted with Jules “Against-All-Odds” Scranton, who had done a bit of scouting (and a great deal more troublemaking). Their presence hindered as much as it helped, causing the deaths of several Pentex employees, which tipped the plant off and prevented circumspect entry. All the same, they were happy to stick him with the bill and several stolen weapons, accompanying the pack to the nuclear silo to serve as drivers and potential backup.
- The infiltration proved simpler than expected. All exterior guards had been called inside, where spiritually enhanced radiation had broken through all safeguards and poisoned the guards inside. After subverting the trap laid for them by the guards in the uppermost floor, they found the rest of the facility dead. Investigation proved their deaths to be radiation-related, but far too swift and intense for the amount of radiation detected in the silo itself.
- After a thorough investigation, the pack determined the cause to be another atomic Wyldling, tainted by the influence of the Wyrm to leak radioactive energies through the Gauntlet and into the physical world. Stepping sideways proved the veil between different realms was very thin, briefly depositing the pack in the Dreaming, the Dark Umbra and finally the Penumbra. Shaken but none worse for the wear, they entered the umbral reflection of the warhead. Reluctant but convict, it was decided they would do battle with the Wyldling to end its influence in the physical world. Taking the form of a great radioactive kaiju-like monster, it fought the Garou to the end, after which they fled the collapsing mini-realm.
